I actually like City of Evil. At least on that album he actually knows what the fuck he's doing.

I agree, but I think he could do better.

I disagree. I don't see how you can listen to something like the first single, Bat Country, and say those vocals are better. Granted I've only heard about half the cd, that half had terrible vocals and I don't forsee the other half drastically changing.

I say those vocals are better because he isn't coughing and squawking like a fucking pterydactyl. I cannot for the life of me understand why people think it's better to scream when you obviously have no clue what you're doing than to actually get some lessons and do it the right way.

| |
No clue what he's doing? Sure he doesn't have a scream like other bands. But does that really mean he doesn't know what he's doing? I think in this case it's a matter of opinions more than anything.

It's also a matter of he's singing/screaming improperly.

not this again.

You could just accept that he does it wrong and save an argument.

I know he does it wrong(he even popped a blood vessel). I just have bad memories about the last time i heard someone say that.

It's also a matter of whether it sounds like shit or not and the new vocals sound a lot worse. They're way more contrived, whiney, and just repugnant.
|
| |
I think he sounds great on both. Just 2 different styles of metal.

Which still sounds infinitely better than his untrained voice which alternated from petulent and contrived, to "Help, help!! I have a wad of pizza caught in my throat!!"
To be perfectly honest, I find even his underdeveloped falsetto to be a vast improvement over his screaming which really just sounded like he was being throttled while someone stuck his dick in a food processor. This Message Edited On 06.06.06

Steerpike's on patrol again. He makes a good point.

Okay whatever, I'm not arguing to try to change your opinion. I just disagree with it. If you think his voice sounds better now, then good for you, I think. I personally can't stand the vocals on the new cd. When I hear them it sounds like copious amounts of diarrhea spilling from that platinum-grilled dumbfuck. To each his own, bud.

Can't argue with Steerpike, he's like a woman and always has to be right.
