I read a few comments regarding his use of Autotune. I don't think it's purpose is to mask his skill as a singer. Think of it as a tool, a tool that creates s certain vibe to the songs. A dark, sad vibe that only strengthens the sad and painful theme of this album. I don't think the songs could evoke the same emotions without the use of Autotune

been on a huge kanye binge the past couple of months and i've been hesitating to listen to this album (despite loving Heartless) and i'm doing it now

it's so moody, i think i like it. a lot

I really dig the synth pop aspect to it. it makes me feel like I'm listening to cheesy 80s pop people, except a lot better ^_^

late registration is actually really good, it's the only pre-mbdtf kanye that i really love

this has some cool jams tho, bad news is cool when he's still saying something (he just stops talking mid way through and the beat goes on forever)

late reg has some cool jams but some of the beats are wack, yo. it also has some kind of mid 00's

cheesiness to it if that makes any sense. i do like how it feels more organic than his later stuff

though

but this isn't even hip-hop, so it's not all that great to compare with
