Never understood the bad-to-lukewarm feelings behind this album. Always loved it. Better than Heaven and Ion Square are both quite possibly the best songs the band have ever done.

This album is fantastic and it still baffles me that people don't like it. Mercury is kinda weird as a single, but every other song on here is awesome.

Decent album, starts off a lot stronger than it ends though. Some bangers in that first half, especially Halo. I like Mercury too, reminds me a lot of what Everything Everything is doing now which is always a plus to me!

I'm lowkey surprised that you have this at a 4, I respect what they were going for here and the closing duo is magical but this also has some of the most annoying music I've ever heard lol

the first two songs, Zephyrus and Talons are the songs on here that make me want to walk off a cliff. but apart from the big two the only other song I really like is One Month Off tbh

They should've continued in this direction. I'll die on this hill.

those are generally not the better songs here so fair enough lol though i dig zephyrus. my favorites off this growing up outside of the closing duo were biko, halo, and signs im pretty sure

i am kinda with you keaton. i've never been all that big on four. the last album and ep had some stuff i really liked though. bloc party have generally been absent from my early adult life though i'm due for a revisit of pretty much everything someday see what's changed

Four has some of their best songs on it honestly. Kettling is goated, so is Montreal from that EP after

ill def have to jam it again see if it sticks with me more now. think back in the day i only really dug like 3 or 4 songs from it

jamming this again because of the thread and i still really like it. forgot how much trojan horse rips. funny enough the only song so far outside of the opening duo thats annoyed me in any way is one month off lol but i still like it

talons has a pretty dope instrumental and the vocal melody is generally good but kele sounds so awful and cannot sell that shit lmao so i can see what you mean re: that one. zephyrus is a fav tho
