Last year, my number 1 song was 'Savior' by Rise Against.
If I changed the wording slightly this year, my #1 "SINGLE" of 2009 would be the very same song!

Ahh Ok, with hindsight my favorite track from last year was probably Protest The Hero's "Wretch".
This year its a three way tie at the minute between Mono's "Follow The Map", THe XX's "Infinity" and Converge's "Wretched World". Could easily change by the end of the year though.

I have a list of about 25 songs in contention at the moment, but am still a little fuzzy on their sequence. If I had to make a call on '09 right now, it would be 'That Golden Rule' by Biffy Clyro.

Ross, the Biffy album is not out yet... Even though 3 singles have been released already. The way I explain 'That Golden Rule' is "what Muse's new album should have sounded like". That's not rubbishing Muse's new album, but it would have been better had it sounded like that Biffy song.
Agreed gyro. 'Kids' didn't get that much airplay down under, where-as 'Time To Pretend' did.
