No, I completely agree that they don't sound like Metallica at all. But listen to 'All Nightmare Long', and then from 2:24 to 2:42. Hetfield sings just like Dave Grohl there!

Too many songs are too long in this album (as in st anger). Shorter they would have been better (the day that never comes...)

this is not a bad album at all, i agree with the review rating
main problem is that most of the songs would have done so much better if they were 2 or even 3 minutes shorter.

Yeah Nagrarok... he kind of does actually. But it's only when he says "Hunt you down all nightmare long".

I just wanna say: they're both incredible vocalists

There is too much rinse and repeat this album. Unforgiven 3 makes me not want forgive them for ruining the making of an amazing song trilogy. This is leagues above st. anger, but come on metallica this will be the end of an amazing run if you don't release something better. Upset of a lifetime. The mighty have fallen too far.

Not amazing, but a very consistent album. Best album from Metallica in years, possibly since AJFA

Still haven't gotten over this yet.I never thought Load,ReLoad and St Anger were in any way bad,but this just blows them out of the water.Better than anything they've put out since ...AJFA

maybe. it definitely rocks harder, and doesn't let up as much.

the two albums are very different in style you have to realize.

ones more pop oriented (forgive me for saying so)

The more I listen to this album the less impressed I am with it. It's not bad, but it has it's atrocious moments (Kirk, Lars).
