god is an astronaut play a simple straightforward melody that gradually crescendos just like every other postrock band and i dont see why noctus doesnt realise that. to say yndi halda are more linear than giaa is ridiculous. sorry noctus.

on the new album only 4 tracks out of 12 do that

wait nevermind i went back n looked, he called it too linear

yeah, to me it is

llol is it possible for a piece of music to be non linear? SOunds like you're just throwing around some contrarian-ass buzzwords to me

it would be nice if it at least didn't just take one theme and tread it to the 20 minute mark before re-introducing the same theme in a slightly different suit for another 20 minutes

hence linear

The end of A Song For Starlit Beaches is haunting.

But... I cant decide between a 4 and a 4.5 I think I'll give it another listen when I'm not multitasking it in a few weeks or so.

A true classic of underground post-rock!

Pure bliss!!! kept me at best times petrified, spent tears of joy not even realizing how they roll down while being way too much in awe of this outstanding experience.
