This album is pretty good. They instrumentally backslid from the last album, but they brought back some of the aggression from Iowa which is nice. Nonetheless, I just can't get into this.

I quite like some of the songs, but it's a definite move towards a more stone sour type sound, which was probably inevitable.



It's worth a listen once in a while but it's definitely my least favourite slipknot album.

it doesn't even sound like Stone Sour, minus Snuff and Dead Memories. i fucking love this cd right now, Sulfur is probably my favorite Slipknot song ever.

eh, lowered to 2.5. gave it a few more listens, and most of it still seems a bit bland other than a few cool riffs here and there and a few choice songs (namely the ones i mentioned before.)

This definitely has the largest collection of good songs of any of their albums, but Iowa still has better songs even though it also has some real crap too.

Ive been meaning to pick up this up, which I will either tonight or tomorrow. Im excited. I know it wont be a masterpiece of a work, but it'll have it's cool moments. Slipknots cool enough.

I never really liked Slipknot at all (except for Iowa), but this album is fucking awesome. This is more thrash metal than it is nu metal and thats probably why I like it so much.
