This album has some great tracks.
"This review is completely laughable"
In my humble opinion Mike Stagno shouldn't review metal albums (no offense).

To start his review, Mike writes:
"Judas Priest could release just about anything – provided that Rob Halford is the vocalist, of course – and their fans would eat it up. How else can you explain the praise for such uninspired records like Hell Bent For Leather (Killing Machine) or British Steel?"
I don't think that is fair or even accurate. Mike, you make it sound like British Steel was only praised because of a hardcore fanbase when the undeniable fact is that it was the album that put them on the map to begin with. That was their breakout album both in their homeland and in North America, charting WAY higher than anything they had ever done before and it influenced other bands too. That's not an opinion. Go check the numbers if you don't believe me.
Even to this day, many of these songs are enjoyed by people who have absolutely no idea who Judas Priest are or even what metal is in arenas and clubs. Artistically, I guess it's a matter of opinion but I believe this was an amazing album for the genre and an essential in any collection. The songs contained on British Steel have been covered over and over again not only by garage bands but a crapload of established acts including Metallica (which I understand probably doesn't mean much for you as you rated Master of Puppets a 2 but still...).
The Nostradamus review itself is fine and fair, not to mention you have a great knack for writing. I rate this album a 3 right now and that is probably too generous. It is interesting to read a review from the point of view of someone with very wide taste such as yourself but I can't shake the feeling you just don't dig the genre of metal at large.

"Still has great moments."
That it does, brother! My fave track remains Death. One of the heaviest song Priest ever created, IMO. The title track is pretty strong too.

I liked the title track and Prophecy. I don't think I'll check the rest out, however.
And wtf, they changed theire logo.

Hmmmm, this sounds better as two separate albums. It's extremely boring to listen through the entire 100 minute album, but listening to disc 1, and then disc 2 later is a lot more bearable.
Prophecy, Persecution, Alone, Visions and ESPECIALLY the title track are great. And Ian Hill actually has some interesting bass lines on this one.

Some great tracks in this one, it's not as bad as "Demolition" or "Jugulator". Hell, no, it's just different. "Prophecy", "Exiled", "Nostradamus" and "Future of Mankind" among others, are excellent songs...

I'm sorry, but this is Judas Priest's worst album besides Turbo

3 is just about a fair rating for this, played in one listen it becomes muddled and lacks any kind of cohision and you find yourself struggleing to stay with it or should i say awake but pick out a few tracks here and there and it becomes a lot better ,but when said and done it is meant to be listened to in one go as it is a concept album so for that reason im giving it a 2.5
