Tbh, this is one of those albums that generates far more emotions than it's aesthetically imbued with, so if it ain't working for you, it ain't working.

I was originally gonna buy the CD but the the "booklet" was only a single page with the album cover in the front and the personnel on the back, not to mention I'm all out of room for anymore CDs anyway

Yeah there's something much nicer about actually owning the physical thing.

Yeah man, there's a more intimate experience when you settle down and pop the disc into a player and listen to it front to back in one sitting. Even when driving (by yourself), the right album(s) can provide a similar experience

I've planned on checking their discog but I've since procrastinated from the job

Well so far I've only heard their albums before this but I'd say Spleen and Ideal is worth checking out. It has a more gothic rock sound in a lot of the songs if that appeals to you.

My greatest experience with a physical copy was Highway 61 Revisited. After I got my driver's license I kept the CD in my car for months, and it really enhanced my love for the album, getting to listen to it over and over again - it's tied to so many more memories because of that. You don't get that experience when you pick and choose what you put on each time.

This album would be a pretty high 4.0 if Cantara and Persephone were taken off.

Is it worth checking out their other material if i only gave this a 3.5?

Check their latest one. It was more accessible than this when I first heard them. Some quality cuts on it.

ALA check The Serpent's Egg and Into the Labyrinth, they bring the Gladiator / Witcher 3 vibes very strong

I love it more with every listen.

I know when I first listened to this I said it was the kind of thing I would never 5 but I'm starting to doubt that.

I still need to hear their albums after this, I bet they're nearly as good.
