The bass and bass tone on this album rule. The Actress is such a good tune but wouldn't have been nearly as good without those things.

easily deserves a relisten from time i last listened alone, probably encroaching on 10 years for most songs here. Always thought the follow-up was better in most ways but I don't actually remember what my criticisms of this are at this point
and yeah I genuinely stan some reunion shows for these guys, my love for them dates back to stutterfly era. Hopefully they get added to more festivals or something

I’m excited to see them no matter what the grown man’s voice sounds like now. I’ll be road tripping to their warmup show in Kelowna BC. No fucking way I’m gonna miss this reunion in case it’s short-lived. Can’t believe it’s finally happening after 15 years

I love seeing/hearing how people's voices age over time but yeah will be interesting

Yeah even if he’s up there cracking and stuttering idgaf. I’m celebrating the mere fact of the bands return. Plus it’s a guitar band, I love chugs and squeals and leads and crashes. Fuck I’m so excited

So far they’re playing in BC, Canada and Alabama so maybe the world tour isn’t far away?

Fingers crossed. Maybe they'll need some more tune-up shows before Furnace Fest and will add some more shows.

I just felt to need to point out a few things that rule on this album:
1. The pinch harmonic during the solo on You Are Familiar (2:15)
2. Furney's vocals that close out Vanishings (3:20)
3. The guitar tone and lead guitar part (especially the slides) in the opening riff of Lovers
