I just saw them last night and it sounded awesome. You can't expect it to sound like the cd, Shadows can't harmonize with himself live.

I love avenged sevenfold and i learned to love them even more with this album..

i believe that their versatility and their ability to adapt was greatly highlighted by this album..

the fact that its so great emphasizes it even more.. :D

This album is awesome, and great review, while I thought MIA and Bat County were better opposing some such as Burn it Down and Beast and the Harlot. Overall, Sidewinder was superb and stood out from the album.

If u want screaming go listen 2 the 1 000 000 other bands doing it and LET THESE GUYS DO WATEVER THE F*** THEY WANT! This cd is amazing the guitar is miles over wat it was previously and when one of u guys pop a blood vessel we'll see how much u like screaming!

im impressed by it. Their single Bat Country is played on the radio alot, MTV, and has even been seen on TRL. Alot of people turned their head in disguist, I know i did. But you can't hate them for that, they said that them being on TRL was not what they consider an accomplishment.

I think that this can widen alot of peoples musical horizons, and stear some people away from being rap fanatics. Make them want to pick up a guitar, or buy a drumset.

City of evil is the best album a7x have relased! the vocals are unique. not many have a voice range like shadows. yet while his voice has a graspy feel to it...u have to envy him for it. the guitars and drumming etc have all got far better and everything seems to click with the band as they are doing things differently. the songwriting has progressed immensly as the band make classic songs such as sidewinder and m.i.a



the band have came along way since "wtf" and have made ther stamp on the metal genre!

i say this album is a definate 9/10

OK band but nothing special. I love the Lead guitar on the Beast and The Harlot but the overall sound is bad in my opinion. Some riffs are nice...it's a metalcore trendy band
