Longview doesnt have a melody, besides there are the odd moments of melodies. eg city of the dammed and are we the waiting (crap song alert!)

American Idiot was alright, I bought it after a while, I think after Holliday. I think Blink 182 is better, and they definitally sold out with the release of T.O.Y.P.A.J it was way to poppy. However I went to the Greenday concert of September first at Giant Statium (Awesome concert Against Me! and Jimmy Eat World played too). They seemed to really enjoy what they were playing, they've just changed and gotten older. Everyone changes, take a picture of a band 5 years ago and compaire it to a picture of them now, odds are they will look totaly different.

At the end of September 2004, blimmy its been out for ages.

green day isn't as good now that they've sold out. this album was pretty good until the radio overplayed it and the pop freaks started listening to it. their older albums were better before they started trying to be "mature".

Yeah, when "pop freaks" start liking a band, the music automatically takes a dip in quality. Can people take their heads out of their arses for one minute? Music is music. Nuff said. You like the music or you don't.

I totaly agree, thats why I have recently gone off Green day, its because "pop freaks" are easy to please, so the music becomes way to similar.

Ya, I have always had a type of respect for these guys and still do. Although, I will say that their old stuff was a ton better than their new stuff is right now. This Cd here is ok, although I don't like being called an American Idiot though. Ahh.... what can ya do?
