Please don't think that when you die
You'll spend eternity up high
When what you really ought to know
Is just how far your life will (DU NUNUNUN DUNUNUNUN)

This album is a masterpiece and top 1989 no question. This absolutely destroys the overrated Altars of madness.
The musicianship on this album is very tight. Amazing complex riffs, spectacular drumming by Steven Flynn, and excellent lead work by Randy. Kelly Shaefer's rapsy vocal delivery is an excellent fit for this album. Last but not least we have Roger's incredible bass playing which is a huge part of this album especially on the track Room With A View.
Not Truth, On They Slay, and Beyond are the godlike tracks of this album. 110% effort by all band members and pure death metal.
This is one of the best debut albums of all time. Atheist raised the bar for extreme metal with this release and did it again in 1991.
