I feel like the riffing and keyboard interplay took a step up but everything else went down the shitter. And wow this is definitely not better than AYDY or any of their discography for that matter.

OK, it's obvious that Alexi Laiho isn't as creative as he used to be, but I actually liked this album, I think it is like a much weaker Hate Crew Deathroll. The riffs are pretty tight, but it does sound uninspired at times, CoB lost their epic feel (doesn't mean they suck).

Anyway, I think it deserves around 3.3

I really don't understand why this is getting so much crap, I though it was really well done. Even though AYDY was catchier(if you could call it that) this just has more standout tracks to me, my favorites at the moment being One Day You Will Cry and Done With Everything, Die For Nothing. Alexi's vocals have gone down a notch though.

I never thought I'd say this but: "I'd like to see another review of this Children Of Bodom Record"

I'm gonna start a review of this tomorrow probably, to give a more positive perspective of this album. I for one think it's much better than every one else thinks.

My favorite is Banned From Heaven personally, then One Day You Will cry, Done With Everything Die For Nothing, and Hell Hounds on My Trail.

yay for being painfully average.

My favorite is Hell Hounds on My Trail.

I like the intensity of this song actually.

I'm going to have to agree with those ones as well, like you said I liked them all though some are a bit weaker than others. The beginning of One Day You Will Cry has such an epic feel to it.

Anyone who says AYDY is better is delusional. There were hardly any leads on that album. The ones that were there weren't memorable either.

This album actually has existing keyboard. This album has a little more life imo. No, it's not really that good, but AYDY bored me the whole time with the exception of the title track and Living Dead Beat. AYDY was like listening to a mediocre thrash or nu-metal album. This album doesn't exactly have the most memorable riffs, but the keyboard and guitar interplay is much improved.

It's Official!!!In flames and Children of Bodom are the most hated bands of sputnik.

Honestly im a bit dissapointed about Blooddrunk. It'S a 3 for me. As for In FLames, it's a huge surprise for me...a 4!

AYDY had some great riffs and a few very memorable songs(title track, Trashed Lost And Strungout, We're Not Gonna Fall).
This didnt have any memorable tracks to me

the new in flames is better than this. the new in flames is not bad, but it suffers from the vocal/lyrical department majorly and the songwriting is kinda bleh

here the vocals/lyrics are just as bad, but the improved technical display doesn't help the album as it isn't intertwined with memorable or good songs. the fact that alexi shrieks like a chicken over every one of them doesn't help the album's case, considering the album becomes a chore to listen to even before the good technical part kicks in, if it ever does.

I wouldn't expect anybody who gives Mars Volta a 4.5 to give a fair justified review of a Bodom album. Nothing against the review, but if you enjoy Mars Volta immensely I don't see how it is fit for you to review a completely different genre of music (and surprise..not enjoy it)

It's not their best album but it's definitely not a 1.5.

3.5 imo
