Omg porc that was gorgeous and I totally agree, but I'd say each year is a year full of jazz. We can make that more true for Sputnik in general though!

lol Bede10 nice

well porc I must say I am not as knowledgeable of jazz as I'd like to be, as in nowhere near as much, so I'd just quote the classic Coltrane (John and Alice), Davis, Monk, etc. A recent discovery would be Bennie Maupin too

As I said on some other thread I am pumped to check McCoy Tyner's 'solo' stuff next m/

I do like more modern stuff too, a cool one I dug recently was Salim Washington

For recent albums of quality over the last few years some essentials are:

Matthew Halsall - Fletcher Moss Park

Trig and Gusett - Adagio for the Blue

Enrico Rava Quintet - Tribe

Bruno Pernadas - Worst Summer Ever

Oooh nice, will also sneak a peek.

We can always jam some more Indigo Jam Unit as well 💚 But me reccing them is turning into a cliché at this point.

Oh yes I love this one a fair bit, fascinating yet instantly gratifying. Love the variety in tempo and mood here, it feels so alive.

revisiting this grandmaster massive beast. Indeed, T/t is one of the best jazz piece ever. Historical Classic, right here. Speed Coltrane at his absolute virtuoso best. Released in 1960.

These are class. The internet gets some stick but I also love how platforms like YouTube mean we can listen to stuff like this. So... yeah props to all the talented people out there who share online and props to spreading the word
