Album used to be a 4.5 and is only a 4 now. There aren't enough highs to be above a 4. The original magic of the "omigosh more radiohead" wore off.

Videotape is still magical though.

I like "All I Need," "Videotape," and "15 Step." The rest haven't really grown on me yet.

Jigsaw must've grown on you though, seeing as it's the best song on here and one of their best songs ever.

The probably with this album is that even it's far more focused and cohesive than HTTT and Amnesiac the songs just don't match up to 'There, There', 'Wolf at the Door', '2+2=5', Pyramid Song, Life in Glasshouse and so on.

Where as they were albums of great highs and a few lows this sorts of consistantly achieves somewhere in the middle.

It's still a very, very strong album it's just that it lacks by Radiohead standards. This Message Edited On 10.05.08

Great, love it.

Sometimes I think it's my favorite radiohead album, but they're all so different you can't truly compare them.

I understand what you mean when you say theres no standout track, but to me, I thought You're All I Need was that.

True, they are uncomparable, but this is nowhere near The Bends or OK Computer.

I think In Rainbows is pretty similar to Amnesiac, the minimalist and clever arrangements, songs that are not completely structureless like on Kid A, but more complex than their older stuff. and all that. at least these two are more similar than any other two radiohead albums. and together with Kid A they're the best stuff the band has recorded (yet?).

My personal opinion of a standout track is House of Cards. I really enjoyed that song, along with the rest of the album. Not every album will be The Bends or Ok Computer, and you know what? That's Ok with me.

I got so tired of hearing "House of Cards" on the radio back home. Good song but it got really old.

"Jigsaw..." is by far the best song on here.
