New Ulcerate is great but so far, 2011 has been a dud year. Here's my top 20 from 2010, hopefully you didn't miss any of these : ).

Everything I've heard so far this year has been solid. Best I've heard so far is Vreid and Earth, and Omnium Gatherum really surprised me even though most seem to hate it. Plus I love the new Acid Witch, but I'm kinda on my own with that one.

New Earth is still the best thing to come out this year to me. I've been disappointed by a lot so far, including the new Moonsorrow and Falkenbach.

Well we have Primordial and Amon Amarth coming up. Hoping the new Woods of Desolation will be good too. New Burzum was pretty awesome.

Didn't care for the new Burzum. I've never been huge on Primordial, but I'm definitely gonna check the new release. New Amon Amarth will sound like Amon Amarth, so it will be at least decent. I'm really surprised there isn't a rip for the new Woods of Desolation yet. Mostly just looking foward to new Opeth and Ulver towards the end of the year.

I liked Fallen a lot more than Belus. But yeah, hopefully new Opeth rules. I'm not too big on the direction Ulver has taken since Nattens Madrigal, but I'll definitely still listen to the new album. I mean, I like some of their electronic/ambient albums, but I'd prefer black metal obviously haha.

Shit, Shadows of the Sun is like the best thing they've done besides Bergtatt.
