There are quite a few parts that are boring on this album, such as most of Decade of Statues.

I like Decade of Statues all the way through, the only part where the riffs become a bit monotonous is in Informal Gluttony. The intro is fucking great, but then it takes a little while for the song to get going again.
But then after that Sun of Nothing comes on and I forget all about it.

The sung part in Informal Gluttony is epic, but still pretty ludicrous.

Decades of Statues is not good, and the end of White Walls is almost the exact same as Autodidact (well, the breakdown + WHIIIIIIIIIIIIITE WALLS part).

The Mr Bungle inspired middle section of Sun of Nothing always brings a smile to my sullen face.

I'm getting this today. After listening to Sun Of Nothing on their myspace, this is definently a contender for metal album of the year in my book.

OMG, Best Buy had every single BtBaM album EXCEPT THIS ONE!
So I got Sublime's S/t and Helloween's Keeper of 7 keys instead.

This album is most definitely a great one... its just not a huge progression from Alaska.

I think it's a pretty big jump from anything they've done. They're such a breath of fresh air from all the other stuff in metal. No nonsense tough guy attitudes, no image, they just focus on making amazing music.

I haven't be listening to much metal lately... Do you guys think this could get my groove back?

I would certainly hope so. Go check out "Sun of Nothing" on their myspace and see if it's for you.

I have the album, which is the sad part. I've just been on an indie binge lately. I loved Alaska and found tSC pretty good so I'll give it a spin tomorrow tho, thanks.

I really enjoyed this album. I think it is a much more cohesive album and it flows alot better than their last album, but it is a little uninspired.

this is like the best metal album I've ever heard.
Best songs:
White Walls - Seems to follow a Selkies-ish formula, but longer. Incredible intro and outro.
Sun of Nothing - Easiest song to get stuck on your mind
Ants of the Sky - The best clean/heavy shifts in the album. One of the most ear-pleasing solos near the end, followed by more BTBAM weirdness.
Informal Gluttony: Nile may pull off that egyptian theme better, but BTBAM manages to blend it with better melodies here.

Been listening to this loads.
Bumping it up to a 4.5.
