About as cookie-cutter as you can get, but still great!

This band really wants to be quirky...shouldn't have picked metalcore, then. They're just saturating an already-stuffed genre. They suck .___.
|
| |
actually they're a lot better than the average band in the genre

Cant stand this band. All my friends love it because of that one cover they made. Drives me nuts

for every new metalcore/deathcore band, there is always a group of people saying that this NEW band is different, better, or just cooler.
like with this band for example. This Message Edited On 01.04.09

idk bastard despite the cliche image/name/album art/song titles the actual music maybe not totally original or unique is better than most and i enjoy it enough

I will never try another metalcore band again. Demon Hunter is O.K though, But I'm not blown away by Undero/ath

ok, well you'll be missing out on some fantastic bands - converge, cave in, botch etc. but hey if that's how you roll that's how you roll!

you can tell the band has talent, but its the randomness and lack of emotion in there music that needs some serious work. (AND YOUR SONGS NAMES ARN'T FUNNY STOP MAKIN EM SO RETARDED UR LOOSING CREDIBILITY)

I came to the realization today that TDWP is a band not founded on technical ability or writing a song with musicality to be revered; they are completely founded on the fact that kids love catchy sing along parts and parts that they can "dance" to. So they imply only those two things into their music. Nothing advanced, nothing incredible, nothing deep, but just fun. If you can look at TDWP for truly what they're around for then they really aren't bad.

yeah thats about right breakdown. Unfortunately, most of sputnik WANTS music founded upon technical ability and superior songwriting, so I doubt this band will get any love around here any time soon.
Personally, I can't stand them just for their horrible whiny little clean singing bitch of a guitar player, but w/e.
the vocalist is horrible btw. His screams bring nothing new to the table, and his growls lack confidence. They sound timid and unconvincing.
The only thing I see myself kind of enjoying is the semi-decent guitar work.

His growls aren't great, but I really like his screams. I agree that they don't bring anything new, but they're still really good.

Really? their kinda iffy for me.
I just don't think their agressive enough. If I want hardcore screams, I want the fucking agression of Heaven Shall Burn, or the Schizophrenic randomness of Converge.

I don't know I just think this guy is really good. At least for a metalcore vocalist he's really good.

Yeah, his growls are SO timid.
Um, have you listened to Texas Is South?

Reasoning with Sputnik users about music taste being subjective is like reasoning with a wall: no matter how you say it, they'll keep saying stuff along the lines of "LOLZ U LIEK METALCORE". Fanboys/fangirls are just as bad, though they do the opposite: if you tell them that a band is generic, they go BATSHIT INSANE.
Yes, this album is generic metalcore. But it's good generic metalcore. Music doesn't have to be entirely original to sound good to certain people.

not really, this is okay tbh

TDWP's cover of Still Fly is pretty much the greatest thing ever.
