Forsaken at about 2 minutes is probably their best breakdown. I love the lead guitars in the background.

I'm honestly trying to think of something really serious to post about this album but everything has been said.

So I wrote this instead.

Even though this is better than their previous albums, the clean vocals aren't as impressive as they used to be.

Ala Confined. Clint was great.

Sure the clean vocals are different, but i think it fits in perfectly with the new thrash feel.

And I really must say...each and everytime i listen to this album i am more impressed. I really can not explain how proud I am of as i lay dying right now...From when i first heard Beneath the encasing of ashes, and now this...damn. People can say they are going mainstream and what not, but if any band deserves it its them. This Message Edited On 08.24.07

new thrash feel? oh man get over it, there's a really small thrash influence but it's nothing to phone home about. and even if it was prevalent, what's fitting about some tone-deaf wanker singing too loud over thrash?

wow wow calm down...i realize that there is a slgiht thrash feel...and i was going to say something to indicate cause i new someone would say exactly what you did...it may be slight but its still there. And the clean vocals aren't bad...i just look at them as something that you can really get into live...and that could be what they verywell thinking.

it's basically still metalcore but more powerful... still as good. btw the new clean vocals don't sound as whiney although clint did rock

MEh, I'm not gonna bother with this. Metalcore is bleh for the most part now anyway.

Depends whether it's the New Wave of American Metal Bands (which are almost all metalcore) or the decent stuff.

There are 3 good Metalcore bands and that's it. Converge, Botch, and Poison The Well.

All Out War are the best metalcore band I've ever heard. Go listen.

I should really listen to this album, just because of how many comments it's got.

Yeah but Trivium records get a lot of comments too... But that's another story as this record is actually good.

What would All Out War be comparable to Monticello?

Well they're not like all the regular metalcore (ie KsE etc), they're just hardcore vocals (no clean singing at all from what I've heard) over metal instruments, so they're "true" metalcore, if you will. Anyway they're definitely worth your time, you'd probably like them a lot.
