It depends on how much you like DOOM as an emcee. Madlib is a huge reason this album is as awesome and

cohesive as it is.

DOOM is quite a beat crafter himself though. Albums like MM..Food and Operation: Doomsday

show that. I would give both of those around 4/5 scores.

Then there's The Mouse and the Mask, his collab album with Danger Mouse on the beats. Personally my

favorite DOOM album, along with this one. Very dope material on there.

DOOM has quite a discography

He's my favorite MC. I think MM..Food is his best and most consistent, this has a couple of tracks i don't care for.

Yeah man, he's probably in my top 10.. at least as far as favorites goes. Lyrically, Food is just as good as Villainy, but I think the chemistry he shows with Madlib is pretty remarkable.

It probably helps that Madlib is possibly my favorite active producer haha.

I've was just looking at your profile, and noticed you're big on metal, and i've been noticing lots of metalheads really like DOOM for some reason. Why is that? Lol

Haha i have no idea. It's the same thing with Liquid Swords, which is my favorite hip-hop album. I like DOOM primarily because he puts equal effort into both the music and the lyrics.
