I can't get past Dominici's awful singing, which sucks cos the music is great.

This is like a heavier more metallic Grace Under Pressure
In other words: rules

Would have ruled, if not for Dominici.

I don't mind him myself
Can see why others do tho

This is much better than Train of Thought, agreed!

I get the vocals being the weakest link but not SO BAD that they ruin the whole album

They don't ruin the WHOLE album. The instrumental sections are really good.
But yeah, this is quite possibly the most amateurish vocal performance on an album by a famous band of all time.

Yea that’s an incredible exaggeration lol

Name a worse vocal performance.
|
| |
There's plenty lol
For instance, half of Megadeth's discography features a worse vocal performance than this one

Hell no. Dave may not have a good voice, but he hits his notes. Few though they may be.

Nah Mustaine's last good vocals were on Youthanasia
After that he was tolerable at best (on Endgame for instance, that album's great because the songwriting's on point, not because of the vox) and bloody awful at worst

There's a difference between being a mediocre vocalist and still putting in a competent performance (Megadeth, Mastodon, Smashing Pumpkins etc) and being an okay vocalist putting in an incompetent performance (Dominici).
Mustaine has built a niche and knows his limitations and plays to his strengths, at least on record. The problem with Dominici isn't that he can't sing, it's that he does a really bad job of singing the stuff he's trying to sing on this album. It's like listening to modern day Labrie sing live. But Labrie's also in his 50s and been ravaged by time and his medical issues and gets only one shot at getting something right on stage.

@SitarHero
I mean, I do get what you're saying. I just really don't mind the vox on this album. They're not my all time favorite, but for me personally they don't really ruin the album's vibe and flow. I do think the band did the right thing moving on with Labrie, as mocked and reviled as he may be these days. Dominici himself said that Labrie is the better vocalist and a better fit for the sound the band was going for.
