Holy crap. For some reason I just got the impression these guys were some sub-par indie-rock band, and I have no idea why. I actually listened to a few songs from this today though and it's pretty awesome.
That section in Dance of the Manatee where the singer's voice gets really deep out of nowhere really caught me off guard.

Really? All the Sputnik hype and you thought they might just be another indie band??? Ha ha, I don't blame you. I don't like the part with the deep vocals on the opening track. In fact, I think the opener is the worst song on the album (but still good).

Well I never payed much attention to the Sputnik hype haha. I think for some reason I just associated them with bands like Mae and I really have no idea why. Anyways, this is a really great album.
