I stand loud and proud as the only person on planet earth that believes that this is LP's best album.

I disagree, while nothing close to their old stuff, I think that Mike shinoda has consitently written good lyrics that represent the teenage mindset of "where am I and who am I" But thisonly showed in meteora and hybrid theory on memorable tracks like somewhere I belong, numb, i nthe end, pushing me away and a few other choice songs.

They certainly haven;t lived up to their older accomplishments but I dont think it should be so quickly thrown away, the softer songs do shine quite well and are quite nice; The Little things give you away, Leave out all the rest what ive done, hands held high and In between are still good tracks and my favourites off the album.

But I agree that no more sorrow and given up are the worst tracks o nthe album and have some of the most cliched writing ever. "Im my own worst enemy" or chester screaming "Thieves and hypocrites" just sounds dumn and im a fan of screamo music and harsh vocals but the lyrics are just dumb. Otherwise the instrumentals are quite nice I think on the album.

I thought it was good for them to use what i've done as a single. The song is great. I was sad to find myself skipping through some songs. They're not terrible.. they just didnt grab my attention as much as the others. hands held high deserves a mention as one of the best songs on the album. i love it.This Message Edited On 07.10.08

Definitely their worst studio album thus far.

However if slow alternative rock with some angsty songs in-between is your thing then it is worth a listen!

There's about 2 mediocre songs on this album, and around 3 barely passable songs. That's as good as it gets...Wait, I'm being too generous.

This album is simply a piece of shit.

I was positively surprised by this album, songs like Leave Out All the Rest and The Little Things Give You Away are pretty great, actually quite beautiful to listen to. if they just would abandon their verse/chorus/verse structures they would be as good as many indie-rock groups out there.

Edit: I do think about re-rating all of their albums, I somehow think that because of all that hype (and my own musical history, which actually more or less expanded from Hybrid Theory) I didn't really see that after all most of their stuff isn't nearly as crude as I started to believe it is.This Message Edited On 11.05.08

Whoa, it looks like I'm one of the only people here who actually likes this album. Although from track 9-11 its complete shit, the rest is something different from LP, which surprised me.

this album was so S*** that I almost passed out while trying to hear it. Its very mediocre (at some points even terrible) for an alternative rock album and total s*** for linkin park. I actually hoped that it is going to be a good album but I was horribly wrong. After that I believe ill never check out an LP album again

People who like this album - Dont take it too seriously. Its just my opinion

This is actually pretty good.
They were mainstream from the get-go so its stupid to criticize them for it now.

Eh, as a former Linkin Park fanboy, I have to say it was somewhat insipid, though there are some standout parts. They changed their sound alright, but that meant sacrificing the attention of kids who aren't 13 anymore.
