Would be even better to hear that atmosphere with a way louder default master so that you don't blow your speakers (or ears) next time a different song/band comes on because you forgot to turn the volume all the way down!

In short, album is in dire need of a remaster/reissue.

Nooooo no need for a remaster. That would make it lose its charm.

the charm would just be louder and less dynamic for some reason

surely that is even more charming!

You know that this can be (re)mastered louder easily with virtually no loss of dynamics, right? It's that quiet! Same for Cryptopsy's Blasphemy Made Flesh. Another album that is so painfully quiet that it would greatly benefit from even a slight remaster.

I just think this is absolutely perfect. The production fits this album so well.

Actually, a lot of albums from 1994 have that in common, lol.

Very true. m/

Wish the average for this was at least a 3.8, it really deserves it. One of the most unique bm albums of the time.

revisiting now and it's very dynamic and jammable so I can't think of any reason why I'd want it louder

the clarity of the bass is beautiful too

I have a hate-love relationship with this band and lead vocalist.

but when they achieve something creative and intense, they are very good.

This was a great re-listening session. Even bump 0.5.

I do prefer Dusk and Her Embrace /Midian/Cruelty and the Beast.IMHO
