Sidewinder is one of their best songs period imo
|
| |
Lol hows that possible when the entirety of WTF, s/t, and Nightmare exist?

i always liked the second half of this more than the first, but you cannot deny the power of beast and the harlot and burn it down

Album Rating: 4.0
Because it's a 5/5 song and they don't have too many of those
WtF is the best album tho

If you don't think Gunslinger is top tier A7X then I'm done with this conversation

I love Gunslinger, we've already HAD this conversation
|
| |
Good. That's in my top 10 songs period

Album Rating: 3.5
gunslinger is one of the better songs off self titled for sure
s/t is like half classics (for this bands standards at least) half godawful but damn those good songs

I'll never understand the hatred for the self titled

[2] hard. I've always loved that album so much

s/t used to be my fav album when i was like 13 and is responsible for helping me adjust to any music heavier than like, nirvanas greatest hits so i still have a soft spot for it but it also has a handful of songs that havent held up well at all (dear god, parts of unbound, parts of lost, scream, parts of critical acclaim). still enough killer moments that i still bump ti from time to time and usually have a blast of fun when i do

Fair enough
|

Only problem with s/t is parts of Critical Acclaim
Dear God is phenomenal and Lost is fucking amazing. Scream is pretty weak too on a bad day

brompton cocktail is still sick as fuck. prob a top 10 sevenfold song for me
wish the rev sang more that chorus on critical acclaim is probably the best vocal moment on that album

I wish The Rev sang more in general, dude's voice was great. Pinkly Smooth could only hold me down for so long

yea his voice was better than shadows’s tbh, who has always been my least fav aspect of the band
like as much as i love this album, those vocals are fuCKIng nasally, and literally are so grating on the stage that ive never been able to get into that album at all

I don't mind Shadows, I would argue that he has a powerful voice but I do get the distaste for his voice
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
its powerful in places but other times it really clashes with the music. his vocal peak as a singer is probably nightmare, but you cannot deny the power of some of the shit he was doing on waking the fallen

I agree on his peak, he sounded great on Nightmare. Also agreed on WtF, he had a lot of great moments on it, namely I Won't See You Tonight
