agreed, i think 13 songs is a bit overrated in the context of their catalogue, not being as ferocious as repeater or as musically developed as their later stuff but it's a borderline classic anyway

13 songs isn't so amazing as a whole, mostly cuz the second half is pretty lackluster compared to a lot of their stuff, but their first ep is my favourite of their releases so far. might be slightly attributed to nostalgia though.
that said, I've yet to jam anything past kill taker
