If you haven't experienced this album on a psychedelic you haven't lived yet. Called "drugs" "sad in general" if a pitiful viewpoint, fact of the matter is, you can't simply lump all mind altering substances into one category. Personally I find alcohol, tobacco and even cannabis to have more long term detrimental effects than mushrooms of lsd. This from personal experience. Don't be so close minded Chop.

You dont need drugs at all to enjoy psychedelic music, but theres obviously a reason its called psychedelic. If its good the music stands on its own regardless but its also made to enhance your high. Anyone who has done shrooms or acid and jammed some psych jams will attest to that, but enough weed will do the trick too. Listen to Reflection blazed out with the speakers bumpin and that shit is spiritual armageddon.

Man, Schism kicks ass. You definitely were right about this record; my father told me to listen to Lateralus and I LOVED IT. Something about the basslines and Maynard's vocals just got me hooked. Great review.
