Yep there is such a fire to the songs on this and impulse. I like modern erra but nothing beats the first two records

Went back and listened to this last night and yeah, this is still their best. Dementia is seriously in contention for a top 10 metalcore song of all time imo.

There is a definite magic to this and Impulse.

Am I the only one who cannot consider Impulse to be in the same league as this? Yeah it's a great album but this was a huge improvement.

bubs here logging back in to say thats the worst erra take i have ever seen
this is a step up but impulse created the very ballpark it existed in

"this is a step up but impulse created the very ballpark it existed in"
Nice edit. Yes, I agree.
|
| |
so you agree then that it and impulse are in the same league then, or did we just go full circle on you being dumb as fuck lmao

No, I agree that on a sonic level, Impulse created the ballpark that this album exists in. I stand by my statement that this album is in a league of it's own in terms of quality, above Impulse.

if this band ever tried to be truly memorable, they achieved that with Cure, for better or for worse, and even when I was in a band that toured with these guys, they never really broke the wheel and people weren't at shows for them. It's sad honestly, these guys worked hard to sustain a career and even in the Impulse days it just wasn't enough to keep things going. Bands like TAS and BOO and VoM vastly overshadowed any glimpse of success this band could have made and now we're listening to them chasing trends instead of making anything compelling. I'd be surprised if they bothered making music beyond silence
|
| |
you can stand by that statement just dont pretend you in any way agree with what i said literally at all lmao such a stupid fuck
impulse created the same ballpark of quality, this improves upon and exists within it, regardless id rather listen to the worst erra song on repeat for the rest of my life than log on to this site again lmao

Not sure if bubs is gonna log back in but I think the source of the disagreement (and his evident outrage) was the general nature of the term "league" that I used, as well as the subsequent usage of "ballpark".

Never even heard of this user bagof4grapes and he's already the worst user of all-time.
