And songs like Them Bones and We Die Young are revered by metalheads and AiC fans, but I don't think they have the kind of mainstream visibility and love that these others have.
|
| |
As I recall, Them Bones isn't THAT iconic, although grunge experts could correct me.
But yeah, I'd say AiC didn't have that many iconic songs, so it makes it all the weirder how beloved they've become amongst grungers.
|
| |
Yeah, I guess Down in a Hole is quite well-known SH.

AiC has many iconic songs among people in the know though not as many in the mainstream as PJ or Nirvana, and certainly nothing on the level of Teen Spirit, Jeremy or Black Hole Sun. However, they have arguably the most consistent catalog.
|
| |
They had the best classic era, I'll agree there.
|
| |
But it somehow seems that, of the 4, AiC's popularity has grown the most. A reputation for consistency can do that ofc.

@danny: actually, Them Bones is an extremely popular grunge anthem and one of AiC's most acclaimed songs. It's appeared on numerous TV shows and, even now, is played on a huge amount of rock radio stations
