Check this song by Pridelands and also their first EP Natives, kinda scratches that itch. I've been on the Pridelands train since that song dropped, and while they're still good they've kinda shifted away from that sound

yeah current pridelands is that whole "karnivool-core" thing, so like if node and mesmer werent dogshit and had some thornhill flavorings back when they were good. they hit a nice niche but its a different one than they used to occupy, and the whole time ive known em ive always wished they had a full length in their old style. they were so good at it. the song gaia goes hard as hell too, might be his beefiest vocal performance
