I remember my first few times listening to this album
I wasn't that "taken" by initially, actually, I guess with the way it's produced & whatnot it can take a few listens to really get to the spirit underneath a lot of these songs
mellon collie grabbed me instantly, though

"While I still appreciate a lot of songs on here, most of the songs are terrible, the whole album is mispaced, the lyrics are lolbad, Billy Corgan is only good on some songs, and even then "good" is quite the hyperbole, and beyond that it's just really a mismanaged work."
Siamese Dream is the last Smashing Pumpkins album to level these criticisms at, lol
