My first Radiohead album. Pretty good but I don't exactly love the depressing atmosphere.

Depressing atmosphere?

I think what trantalocked is trying to say here is–and correct me if I'm wrong Trantalocked–that he doesn't exactly love the depressing atmosphere.

Well, yeah, but I assume when you're talking of an atmosphere you're talking in a generality about the album as a whole. Two songs does not an album make.

that might be the best description of this album I've seen so far, potsy

Probably their best although Kid A was always kind of an album I was partial to.

well the entire album is pretty melancholy
even the upbeat songs like 15 step and bodysnatchers have this kind of subversive attitude towards
optimism
I mean, it's hardly at the forefront relative to rest of the discography and it's somewhat too subtle
for me personally to call it a "depressive atmosphere", but I can definitely reconcile your
perspective.

That's the best one
That arpeggio and the odd time signature rhythm and the vocal style and the lyrics and the chorus and the falsetto later in the track oh man
