not for me honestly

It’s an emo record and the dude literally sang about what a piece of shit he was.

Like with most artists that have done horrible shit I don’t really have a problem with listening to them, I just quit supporting them financially aside from Spotify streams

I mean, didn’t Bowie literally fuck underage groupies? I’m obviously not justifying any of this shit but if we stopped listening to artists that have done heinous shit then we’d have a lot less to choose from.

This album always feels hard to listen to, it's a masterpiece but I have to be in the right mood for it. It just feels really cold, and makes me feel empty. Only album that gives me those similar vibes is The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers. I love dark, depressing alternative sad boy music.

my favorite party trick is belting out 'Handcuffs' a cappella and watching everyone leave my house early

Yeah I hardly ever listen to this anymore. Might be because I'm not perpetually depressed like when I was younger. I used to get fucked hard by seasonal affective disorder too so every winter was nothing but the saddest shit anybody has ever recorded playing through my earbuds.

Yeah Holy Bible and TDAG, they're completely different albums. But similarly very difficult to listen to due to the subject matter. I always feel like I want to play both albums, but at the same time, I don't want to go through them motions at the moment lol. 4st 7lb makes me just as uncomfortable as Limousine if you catch my drift?

I'd actually argue that Holy Bible is more of a difficult listen because of that song alone, and Richey's mental state throughout the entire thing.

i've only been able to come back to this album within the past year or so tbh. I too kinda see the holy bible comparison with the overall vibes between the two, even if they don't sound that much alike.
