>Poor toxin, maybe a Sputnik return wasn’t best, brand new lyrics will never hit the same when you put two and two together.

Look man, all I'm saying is that if innumeracy is what it takes for me to be able to enjoy Brand New in 2022 onwards, then maybe I've conveniently forgotten basic addition.

Also it's good to know that some things never change and Zakalwe is as insufferable as I remember from when I left, but I agree that this review is pretty "lol." It has literally zero description of the actual album. Mid-20s disaffection is cool but doesn't serve as a particularly informative review lol

It is well-written, captures that feeling of disaffection well, and, like you said, covers that sense of knowing an album so well that it may as well be etched in your brain. But the review has almost nothing to do with the album. Funnily enough, the one bit of description that exists I agree with pretty well:

"Sometimes it's the opening of “Luca”, sometimes it's the bridge of “Not The Sun”, sometimes it's the second verse of “You Won't Know”."

All of these are pretty strong moments in the album.

^ Yeah sometimes I feel like I’m the only one that know how to do that. Wish it didn’t look so janky though.
