This is like the gold standard for production on everything that came after it.

"The last song “The Overload” was conceived as an interpretation of what Joy Division might have sounded like. None of the members of the band had ever heard the work of Joy Division, but attempted this song solely based on what they had read in the press on what their music sounded like."

Holy shit that is fucking uncanny because the first thing I thought when I listened to that song was "This sounds like a Joy Division song"

That's like that artist that received all those letters about the rhino and drew one almost perfectly without ever seeing it. Can't remember his name. What article is that from, stallion?

I forget where I found it exactly but it basically just talked about similarities between that song and songs like "Candidate" and "The Eternal"

btw the 4 is not a real rating. I rate 4's for things I plan on listening to and then edit the rating accordingly after listening all the way through.

good system tho, but what happens when you think an album is excellent and have to give it a 4?

^ The system just developed... the better way to do it would be to give everything I have yet to listen to a 1 because I have only rated one or 2 albums that low... but that would make me look like a major troll if it too me awhile to get around to listening to something great. You should be able to save albums in a spot on your profile to remind you to listen to them! Mods HELP!

So yeah Barber, I have a lot of 4's. Half actual 4s and half is stuff I have yet to hear.

I used to rate albums just to keep up with them too. Now I try not to rate anything after only one listen, so I may listen to it once and forget I listened to it. It would be awesome, if there was a way to store an album here without rating it.
