Drown and Doomed by themselves objectively make this higher than a 1.0.

I haven't even heard this, but from what I've read about their... progression.... from Sempiternal, this is probably just garbage clinging on to life.
When I was 19, I thought Count Your Blessings was sick as fuck, so when they got softer I thought Suicide Season was weak shit.
Now that I'm 28, I realize Count Your Blessings was almost a novelty for the peak of shitty deathcore and I was right about the rest as they were released.
This band is shit. Hang 'em up.

I love their first three albums, and most of Sempiternal. This was just awful

Obviously, my taste had just changed and I know these guys still have a big fanbase, but jesus takeaway the 'moments' from that first LP (breakdowns even) and they somehow got more boring.

I guess I don't get how you can lessen the amount of breakdowns and get more boring. CYB was at least heavy and catchy. Everything after had the heaviness reduced entirely.

Ya'll just don't like this because it's catchier
Ya'll are the types that listen to 2 songs and write it off
Ya'll will appreciate this in 3 or 4 years
Ya'll need to be more patient with records
Ya'll need to learn how to correctly soak records
Ya'll learn how to soak, ya'll will see the beauty and complexities of That's the Spirit
Ya'll should give this a few more tries cause, from top to bottom, it's an immortal record
Glad to see everyone at my daily supermarket into this too. I walk down the aisles I hear people singing "Run", "Blasphemy" "Drown"
Ya'll soak thy records.

These dudes were at their peak with There is A Heaven. Don't care for anything they made before that. Sempiternal is cool too. This is a decline considering how they failed to capitalize on the elements from those past 2 albums. Still tho, Doomed jams hard idc.

Roger Waters is going to be covering That's the Spirit in its entirety on his next tour. I'll be there to witness that. I'll pay $600 or $700 for nosebleeds to watch him perform this entire album live.

Always forget that this was actually really well received by critics.

9th on the year end list is pretty exaggerated imo.
