I feel like people are too overly critical of this album solely because Roger Waters was the focus and they wanted to see more Gilmore and Wright.

Yet this shouldn't be enough to call the album objectively bad. I mean, if there wasn't the history/popularity of Pink Floyd, if their previous albums didn't exist, and then you heard this, you are telling me you would just be like "meh thats ok pretty mediocre group."? Bullshit.

To their other albums? Yeah. But this album is still better than any other rock i've heard from any
other group

The only major problem is the vocals, in THAT department it really needed more Gilmour and Wright BADLY

agreed, the vocals on gilmour and wright tracks are much better on this album and others, but Gilmour and Wright couldn't have created the same grim atmosphere with their vocals.

Some tracks needed Roger yeah but a lot would've been better with Wright especially

don't get me wrong, this a spectacular and landmark record. In comparison though to DSotM, WYWH and Animals, this really
just can be in my top 3 floyd albums. Top 5 though? Definitely.

The assumption of people who hate the wall is that Gilmour could have had a lead role and created another classic album, i dunno, if he was so great why is none of his solo stuff classic (or is it I have never even heard it lol)?

Well, I think Division Bell is a classic, does it count?

I'm the only one that appreciates it though
