I used to hold both Anthology and WATR in the same regard (both 5s), but WATR kinda grew off me. Anthology is a much easier listen and contains some of Botch’s best tracks, imho.

Imho.
Nah.

I’ll concede that Man the Ramparts is a superior closer than Micaragua, but other than that, I think Japam/Framce/Vietmam/Afghamistam kinda destroy everything in here.

I’ll give this a 4 out of respect because I DID listen to it quite a lot during my younger years. Good album and should be everyone’s first introduction to legit metalcore at the very least. This or American Nervoso.
Then move on to Anthology. Gotta save the best for last, after all.

Anthology just doesn't feel as visceral as this and I don't know if it's just my copy, but the mix feels a lot less punchy.

Honestly, WATR sounds downright muddy after listening to Anthology, and I vastly prefer the “cleaner” sound in the EP.
As for “punchiness”... I don’t really know what to tell ya. Everything in Anthology is so impactful, especially the drumming.
