I honestly don't see any reason to buy vinyl over CD's besides the novelty of the big album art, and maybe for listening purposes if you have a multi hundred dollar setup lol.

vinyl's more fragile and you need more expensive equipment to keep it safe, but often if i can find a good vinyl rip and replace an album of mine's digital files with it, I will. it's never as crushed and brickwalled no matter how much some bands want to try to make it so (BMTH's "Wonderful Life" on my Amo vinyl being a DR-frickin-7 for instance)
