I think my problem is that the band lost all of their mystique once I opened my third eye

The logo AND artwork from ive seen are truly horrendous and possibly worse than the music on it. Its like a CD you get pushed on you by some 'musician' on the street for £1/$1

You should close that third eye, Jester, it's unnatural.

I still think the cover kinda looks like a cd rom game from the 90ies but I agree that it looks a lot better without the golden logo thing.

I listened to the interludes again because they were so forgettable I had to check to see if they really were that bad. Turns out they are. Dropped this to a 2.5.

I’ve chosen not to really let my thoughts on the interludes affect how I feel about the overall album, considering they’re not even on the CD version and are more or less optional

I get what you mean, maybe that's also a reason why i like it so much. But i think it fits their scheme of artwork anyway.

I think the art actually looks really cool on the big CD package

The cover is kind of a fuck you to streamers. That's why the actual packaging is so involved.

The font for the cover art has got to be some sort of inside joke. It’s so incredibly bad I can see it wrapping back around to being ironically good. The image is bland and inoffensive.

I agree even tough I find most of their album covers pretty bland.

I like the black slipcase cover for Lateralus more than the inside one

"Lateralus is the best one on everything." Yeah I agree and Ænima aint bad either. Always felt Tool should have covers more in line with pink floyd, mars volta type of stuff but I think that is just me

Why would they want to have covers in line with someone else when they have their own style?

Someone somewhere mentioned the album art for this looks like the cover for a 90s breakbeat album and I couldn't agree more
