I think Kurt initially was kicked out because of circumstances beyond his control. The band was not doing well financially and were already on the verge of splitting after Happiness. Whenever Jonny and Jon came back into the picture it was decided to best most forward with Jonny as clean vocalist as to reclaim some of the hype they had when they first hit the scene. I am sure Kurt’s middling live performances didn’t help, but the main factor was Jonny wanting to be back in the band.

Ah, okay I feel you lol. I definitely agree a stylistic change is in order, but I don’t think they need to go back to Jonny to make that happen (personally). I feel like Andrew actually would be a great choice and makes the most sense since it’s an in house switch. His voice lends itself to both gritty r&b stuff a la Jonny as well as the pop sound they have going on with Tilian.

I saw a comment in that thread with a picture of Kurt's likes on Twitter and I feel like they're going to give me a false hope. He liked a tweet calling Tilian a "fucking weirdo" and asking for Kurt to come back to the band.

I'm with you Jay. the other guys although they come off as weirdos and/or addicts they seem like chill people who only abuse themselves as opposed to others. I got to meet them on the Mothership tour and got solid vibes from everybody accept the accused. Matt and Tim (RIP) were especially friendly guys. I would very much like secret band content released at the same rate as DGD albums get dropped.
