I hope they go in a new direction and/or capture the magic they had 5+ years ago. I'm hesitant to listen to this or PC again, as it's been almost 2 years since I've heard either one aside from a song here or there. I'm afraid my rating would be even lower than 3.5 if I jammed now, which is depressing for a band that I consider to be one of the all time greats.

Yea the playing is great and the songwriting is usually solid, but there're too many disjointed sections and cheesy elements like his oversinging that drag it down. I think another reinvention is in order.
