I’m knee deep in my 3 part RTS soundtrack reviews, once they’re done I’ll probably move on to LP

Mark the Graves is one of the best here.
You guys are fucking crazy, this is an extremely solid album. Love it.

Reading through this entire thread is really interesting.
The opinions on this album and pretty much every other LP record are so divisive.

People saying Final Masquerade is good is all I need to know I cannot fathom why people like this album. That song physically hurts me to listen to. The best word I have to describe the album is cringe, second best would be cheesy.

This sounds incredibly weird. But I have this weird impression of artists pre-1995 and after 1995.
Like, when I rate my albums, I tend to highly rate the debuts and early albums of pre-1995 bands. For some reason their early albums sound really good and concise, but as the years go on I notice a drop in their quality.
But with bands coming in after 1995, I feel like their debuts and early albums are disjointed and in need of refinement. Yet I always end up seeing their later albums being far better.
Is their a reason for that or am I just crazy? Just something I noticed.

I listened to this again after a long time thinking that it wouldn't be as good as I remembered. But this is still really solid. I can't understand why some dislike this so much
Especially Guilty All The Same slaps way harder than it has any right to

for sure, and i even enjoy the quieter moments, especially the jam session with Tom Morello. Always thought it would be a great show opener leading up into Wastelands or something. And I always hoped they'd do more stuff like A Line in the Sand : (

This record would probably be pretty good with a better drummer. So many lame rhythms and fills
