im in agreement with ovdeath here. spiritual healing is my favorite because i would jam it all the time with my buddy back in the day, but that aside, SBG has the bloody charisma that not many albums can hope to get near to

SBG rules

Also no one said this doesn't riff but it riffs considerably less hard than everything else they made.

SBG is just brainless, cheesy, primitive death metal. Which is fine, i love that kind of thing. But imo, it cant compete with later Death albums which have more layered songwriting and more interesting ideas. From Human and on i can take the music more seriously as art. Its beyond just having something to bang my head to.

it's all up to opinion i guess. sbg achieves some degree of magic that no other death album comes close to

There's more magic in raw primitive metal, the proggier side will never be able to replicate it. "less is more"

While I appreciate the newer era for it's originality, there's no doubt that SBG complete kicks ass.

Go read a book on philosophy then, pretty much everything Chuck talks about is common sense.

Songs about the fictional firegoat that lives underground are cool but I really cant take it seriously. Death did it the best tho.
