“dont like "tame" that much, that's one of the ones I'd single out in that regard”

Tame is one of my favorites. The vocals at the end of the song are absolutely insane. Might be my favorite dual vox moment between Kim and Francis.

I don't know how someone can listen to this record and not think "La La Love You" and "There Goes My Gun" aren't the lowlights

Everything else is so tight

I like "there goes my gun" a lot, feels like some sort of throwaway for sure but really demonstrates their crazy level of songcraft. the chorus moves so smoothly idk its good

that MCR song is really good too lol

La La Love You is the only weak song for me, and it doesn’t derail the album or anything.

Im having a hard time remembering any examples but I feel like when an album is "intratextual"/songs refer back to other songs it's a good way of making it seem Artful and I'm biased towards it. like "In the Flesh?" from The Wall (which fucking rips, man love that riff) idk maybe who cares

I agree.... Ween does that a lot and will even refer to songs from other albums

Like I love how Baby Bitch (from Chocolate and Cheese) references to Birthday Boy (from GodWeenSatan) so get across a point of how this girl has changed (since both songs are about the same woman, but from a completely different perspective)

I know it's a lot more common with artists who like making up characters and stories, and Pixies fits right into that mold
