that could have possibly worked but to me it always had "opener" energy. Obviously Hexagram works way better though

I just wish Frank’s contributions were boosted a big volume-wise, do yoselves a favor and check out his isolated/boosted parts on YouTube, especially for Minerva and when girls telephone boys

I've never been sure how I felt about that. The boosted parts sound great live but not sure if would prefer them like that on the record

I see both sides. personally i wish franks parts were boosted, but It'd be nice if they had a remixed version just so people had a choice

I'm baffled they never did like a 10-year anniversary special edition. I guess after Chi died they just didn't want to touch these records at all. This was album was such a moment in time

rerelease lovers as a single at least please

Flashmobba could you link one? Couldn’t find on a quick search and I’m lazy and it’s more fun this way anyway😄

When girls telephone boys is literally the sickest track. No other tracks are sicker. Goddang 😮💨

hey they played Lovers when I saw them a few years back. First date of the tour too. I was among the first people to ever see it live which made it feel special despite the setlist being mid as fuck.
Aside from Change, BQAD, My Own Summer, and maaaaybe Rosemary and Diamond Eyes they really need to shake up their sets. I was hoping having some fresh blood in there would maybe have them reaching out of their comfort zone, but goddamn I feel like the last three times I’ve seen them the setlist was 90% the same.

they're basically a legacy act at this point. I don't expect them to shake things up too much going forward. They might swap like 2-3 songs in their set max

@normal sorry just saw this
some Minerva, ascend: https://youtu.be/BLKVjYNitMw?si=QbhzuurDIpR9UHfz
WGTB: https://youtu.be/K1EsA9r4gWA?si=r-9sfMveFCtsGiq1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QF4twt_Gqg8 this version of WGTB wipes its ass with the album version
Does anyone else get irrationally annoyed when the live versions are way better than studio but the recording quality is usually obviously crap to listen to regularly? I would almost rather never know how much better it could be

yes i am a radiohead fan
I think WGTB is fine as is though, the chorus is effectively bludgeoning without the synth boosted

yeah I prefer the album version. If I saw it live I'd appreciate the synth overload more

I saw deftones two years ago and thought they were bad. A standout bad concert for me.

they are notoriously hit-or-miss live

They weren’t technically bad but it was this weird unpleasant Deftones Mush the whole time. Maybe a sound thing, but kinda felt like them too—not much sonic presence, instruments blending together, songs hard to distinguish. But yah I’m sure they’ve kicked ass before too
