I've never ever considered converge to be anything along the lines of Mathcore. I can't think of a single song that would make me think of that description. Maybe Forsaken and The Saddest Day off PTES or When Forever Comes Crashing off WFCC. But those are only singular entries, and really only have specific parts that are mathy.
