I love Soundgarden, but this was never one of my favorites. There is so much filler in here. I prefer the albums that came after and before. Maybe it was the pressure to answer on Nirvana and Pearl jam success, but Superunknown sounds unfocused and all over the place to me.

As much as I love this kind of music, I just think albums from that era were too long. This doesn't have any filler, but it a long, dense thing and just too much to swallow in one sitting imo.

Nah, when an album is too long, but the songs are all great, then it's just too long. Filler aren't a problem here imo

Cut 5 songs from this and another 5 from DOTU, add some b-sides and you get 3 solid albums like they did in the late 80s and Badmotorfinger - My favorite Soundgarden album.

couldn’t cut a single thing from this. i can see people wanting to axe Kickstand and Half but I’ve grown to love them

^ Those are the only two I will accept the argument for cutting. Everything else is super strong imo.
