"it just doesnt really sound like a true floyd record to me. waters was the "ideas" guy, while gilmour and wright were the actual musicians, and when the musicians weren't able to contribute for one reason or another, the music suffered."
Exactly.
The Wall's great, but it lacks musically because gilmour's influence was minimal, and wright pretty much wasn't even in the band.
